David brings nearly four decades of investment and wealth management experience to Aureus. As a partner of Wellington Management Company, from 1968-1998, he managed institutional and individual portfolios, with responsibility for both asset allocation and equity management. At Harvard Management Company, from 1999-2005, he provided overall investment direction for the more than 600 charitable trusts for which Harvard acts as trustee. Additionally, he has served as a trustee for several family groups and for five non-profit organizations, including the New England Conservatory, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, and St. Mark's School. David has many years of experience managing equity portfolios, helping to select and monitor managers in all asset classes, dealing with inter-generational family issues, examining philanthropic goals and responsibilities, and providing leadership to boards of trustees as well as to families. David received his BA from Harvard College.
